After a hearty night of partying with the lovely folks at Waterville valley we woke up a little late on Sunday. Luckily we were already in the shadow of the mountain. My companion was the artist Nick Paradis who was not feeling up to par, but we made our way to the trail anyway look forward to a quick hike before we spent the rest of the day on the slopes with our new friends that we made the night before. Nick and I had already done Cannon mountain the day before. We were a bit haggard.

We got started a little after 10AM. The trail was still very solid and though I started in snowshoes I was quickly in my microspikes and Nick was barebooting. We stayed this way the rest of the day. The trail was well traveled and very solid. We met many others on the trail today who were all very nice. We were able to get this hike done in good time as we finished by 1:30 PM.

This was my first summit from the time the opening magically appeared and I was able to enjoy amazing views. Look at the difference in the before and after below.
