Comments: Day two of my weekend with Abby and Patton. We started a bit later but had plenty of time to take on the trail. It seems the ice was still the focus point today and it started shortly after the trail dips down cross the water crossing before the ski slope outlook point. After that I would recommend spikes. Bare boots will need to stay to the sides and it will be slow going and difficult at times. There was a lot of folks out on the trails today and the trail showed it. Definitely changed a good amount from last month. Had a great hike with the loved ones. Wishing a happy mothers day to all the trail moms out there!
Trail Cautions: Still icy up there don’t forget your spikes. It will really slow you down if your don’t have them. Very wet and Icy on the trails right now. I like waterproof and traction this time of year.
Dog Notes: It was doggy paradise out there today. I would highly recommend this hike to the dog owners out there. Patton had a blast, and is currently snoring on the couch.
Difficulty: Moderate
View Rating: Very good and clear for miles and miles.
