After a full night of rest I was ready to hike once again. Lucy was good to go as well. Only problem was the weather. It was not looking good. I had no idea what to hike. I just wanted to hurry. I wanted to beat the rain. I was all set with being wet and cold today. At least with Lucy with me. With that in mind I finally decided on a Pierce Eisenhower hike. I have not been in Crawford notch in over a month. It was time.

We took a quick moment at the falls. It was the best view I would get all day. Lucy did not let me linger very long.

The trail was well packed out after the snow on Friday thanks to the work of Heather Hesse and other hikers the day before. Thank you!

I brought spikes with me but did not need them at all. It was great to do an entire hike with no traction. Not a single post hole!

On the way down I met Kate K who was working on some red line and checking out the Mizpah hut which I heard was getting ready to open. One step closer to spring! Great to meet you Kate!

Just as the hike was ending it started to rain. A large piece of me wanted to hike more. I thought better of it though and just settled for an amazing weekend with limited views but great time with my Canine companion. She is making great progress but there is a lot of room to learn. Much like us all. Till the next hike!
